I have a feeling this will be a short post. Typing and yawning…I can barely keep my eyes open.

We had a ridiculously  busy evening. Once we finally got home and made dinner for the kids, it was already 8:30. Guess what today was? Oh yea…our running day!! Thankfully Marley was here, so we fixed them dinner and got them sat down to eat and Jeremy and I went for our run. We ARE dedicated people! I’m glad we went…I definitely didn’t want to miss todays run. It would have been real easy to say “Let’s just do it tomorrow…or the next day.” Who knows if we would have ever done it!!

I feel great and today I got on the scale…drum roll please…I LOST 1.5 pounds. That’s right…1.5!! It may not be much, but I’m doing it! I was so excited to see that 1 pound gone this morning. Great motivation to keep on going! Total goal I want to lose is 25 pounds. I feel like that’s very doable for me. I just want to feel comfortable in my clothes again. That’s not too much to ask!!

Here’s what we did tonight on our run!

I downloaded this app called RunKeeper. It tracks your miles, duration, calories, etc. It’s really cool! If you have the app, add me as your friend! We can be running buddies. 🙂

As I mentioned before…I’m exhausted. I am so glad tomorrow is Saturday! Although I have lots of things to wrap up for Die Cut Crazy…I can relax and work on my computer from home. Not to mention the best part…I get to sleep in tomorrow morning. Thank you Lord! I am so behind on my sleep!

Have a great weekend!

How was your Monday? Mine was super! Today we started week 2 of Couch to 5k! Twenty-nine minutes of exercise, with 5 minutes to warm up, 5 minutes of cool-down, and 9 minutes of running. We ran one and a half minutes. Between runs walked 2 minutes. The app suggested resting over the weekend. I was a little worried, not running the last two days!! How was I going to run one and a half minutes today?

To my surprise it wasn’t that bad. I guess this app knows what it’s talking about. Embarrassed to admit,  this is the most running I’ve done in the last 12 years. I’m a little proud of myself! Still hard to imagine that in only 7 weeks from now, I will be able to run for 30 minutes straight. I have NEVER been able to run for that long at once. NEVER!

Has anyone else used this app and had great success? I’ve only known a few people who have used it, and only one of them actually finished it. Everyday I get nervous about our run, but afterwards I feel like a hundred bucks. I’m so glad we decided to do this.  By October 18th we should be 5k ready!! That is so awesome!

Next running day is Wednesday. I love my rest days, but looking forward to running again.

I thought this was cute!

On another note, I have lots of birthdays coming up in the next few days. Tomorrow I need to finish a few cards and get started on some new projects.

I will try to share some pictures tomorrow.

See you soon!

Running. What can I say….We started Couch to 5k last week. We finished one day and…(silence)  Things just came up! Weather was bad, blah blah blah.

Well…I’m happy to say we started back this week! Monday was our first day back and it went really well. If you’ve never used the app before, let me just fill you in on a few details.

Couch to 5k is an app on the iPhone. (I’m sure you can probably get it on other devices…I’m just not aware of all of them.) It’s a 9 week program that slowly builds you up and teaches you to run long distances. I will admit I can barely jog one full lap around a track. I’ve never been a runner. I’ve never enjoyed it. I’ve seen plenty of people who jog and have always admired them. The first week we will jog every other day. You start with a brisk 5 minute walk and then comes the fun part…running. You will run for 1 minute. Sounds easy right? Well…the first one is. It’s a total breeze. After your 1 minute, you walk for a minute and a half. You will repeat this as you run a total of 8 times and finish with a cool down 5 minute walk.

I was tired. There were plenty of times I wished Jeremy would say “Okay…I’m done for today. Let’s just quit.” He never did. I kept telling myself “You can do this. Just keep going. You’re not going to die!” I’m happy to announce…We did it!! We did the entire thing today and by the end of it I was still alive and breathing. Not to mention I actually felt great!! I felt accomplished. I really did it. It may not be much for some, but it’s huge for me. It’s a little baby step to what is to come and I am excited to see what I can complete in the 9 weeks.

Again…It helps that Jeremy and I are doing this together. He is a great partner and motivator.

I am grateful that tomorrow is our rest day, but looking forward to another great day Friday.

See you tomorrow!

Well it’s day 2! I wish I could say I’ve thought about blogging all day and what I’d post about. Truth is I almost forgot. But the good news is…I REMEMBERED! That’s a good start right?
I downloaded the wordpress app. It has horrible reviews, but I’m hoping this will help with blogging on the go.
Today was an average day. We just got back from vacation yesterday, so today was a get back in the groove kinda day. It’s nice sleeping in my own bed, but I miss vacation life! One day, I wanna be on vacation everyday.
I don’t have much to share tonight. Nothing exciting here. I’ll try and do something fantastic tomorrow and have a great blog about it tomorrow.
See ya then.

Here is the latest update on the website. Now is a great time to get the new low price and give us your input. We’d like to know what YOU want to see in next months issue! Help us, help you!!

Our Readers Have Spoken, and We’re Listening!

Hello! Here we are 5 issues in to publishing Die Cut Crazy. In the last few months we have received a ton of good input from readers via email and through reviews. I wanted to take a moment to address some of the issues, and let you know what we are doing to improve Die Cut Crazy. A suggestion we get a lot is about the page count being low. A big reason why our page count is say, 50 pages, as opposed  to 100 or more is because we haven’t included pages and pages of advertisements. We will introduce advertising in the future, but our intention is to always let the content outweigh the ads. With that said, we are constantly working on getting more contributors and creating more content to increase the volume in each issue. It’s our goal to give you a satisfying experience when you open up an issue of Die Cut Crazy.

Another common suggestion we get is about the issue/subscription price. This seems to go hand in hand with the size of the issue suggestion. Again we are listening and put your satisfaction and experience first. As of today the new price plan is as follows:

Die Cut Crazy Subscription available:

A single issue for $1.99 (non-subscription) – was $3.99

1-month subscription for $0.99, automatically renewed until canceled. – was $2.99

3-month subscription for $2.99, automatically renewed until canceled. – was $6.99

1-year subscription for $9.99, automatically renewed until canceled.  – was $24.99

If you are already subscribed then your next payment will reflect the new plan.

Another suggestion we often get is making the magazine available on more than just the iPad. The iPhone version of the app is now in testing and should be ready for release in the near future. There are also plans of releasing to other tablet devices eventually as well.

We are also taking this opportunity to give the magazine a bit of a facelift, and add some new sections of content. We started DCC because we love crafting and die cutting, and we wanted to connect with other crafters and have a place to share their projects as well as our own. Please don’t hesitate to leave a comment or send us an email with suggestions, or to inquire about being a contributor. If you’re not happy, we’re not happy!

Thanks to everyone who has supported DCC so far! Happy die cutting!
