This morning I woke up with a slight headache. All I wanted to do is snuggle in bed and never get up! That didn’t last long though. Jeremy got a call from his mom and his grandma was in town and wanted to see us. I jumped out of bed, we all hurried to get ready, and headed out the door. Don’t worry…I took some Excedrine before we left the house. My headache didn’t last long and we had a fabulous day.

The weather today was amazing. I think the high today was about 75. We spent a lot of time outside playing basketball, Simon says, duck duck goose…we had a great time. We also played a few board games. Have you heard of Minotaurus? It’s a Lego game. Atticus had to have it last Christmas.

I don’t really love the game, but the kids do! I guess that’s all that matters. 🙂

I did a little crafting!! Jeremy made me a framed wood sign a while ago. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it until today. Here’s what I came up with.

There’s a few things I wish would’ve turned out differently, but I really like it for the most part. This is a line from a song, Murder in the City. The Avett Brothers are so talented. If you don’t know their music, you need to check it out now!! Seriously. Check them out.

Thanks for reading!

My son Atticus Beeker will be 5 on the 21st. I can’t believe it. Where has the time gone? If you are wondering…his middle name is Beeker…like the muppet, but spelled differently! 🙂 It’s hard to believe how fast he is growing up. It seems like yesterday he was just a little baby. Here’s a picture of Marley and Atticus when he was little.

How cute is he?? I just love him so much. We’re having a Super Mario Bros. birthday party. He loves anything and everything Mario Brothers. This last Halloween Atticus was Mario and his brother Bonus was Luigi. It was the most adorable thing to see them dressed up together. They have a lot of fun as best friends/brothers. Here’s a recent picture of Atticus doing some school work last week.

He is a handsome little boy. Makes my heart happy to be his momma.

We’re off to Oklahoma this week to see some family and friends for his birthday. He wanted some of his friends to be at his birthday party, so instead of them driving to Arkansas we figured we’d make it easy for everyone and come to them. With summer coming up this will probably be the last trip we make to Oklahoma for a while. Eureka Springs is a tourist town, so lots of people come see us in the spring and summer! Jeremy’s mom is already planning a trip for the first weekend of March. We are looking forward to spring, warmer weather, visitors, and parades…lots of parades!!

*Back to our trip to Oklahoma. I received an email from a friend  last night. Her daughter’s birthday party is Saturday and she was in desperate need of a few paper chandeliers to hang from  some ceiling fans. As soon as I read the email, everything I needed to do before leaving for Oklahoma flashed in my mind. I just didn’t have the time!! Truth is I actually have plenty of time…how long could it really take to whip up some chandeliers?! Well…it did take me some time, but not as long as I imagined. I am so glad I did it for her. I really love how they turned out and it makes me happy to know I could help her out at the last-minute. She needed 2 chandeliers…Here’s a picture of one.

It’s 11×11. You can’t really tell from this picture, but I used a Krylon Glitter spray and it has a nice sparkle all over it. It turned out so cute!! I got this design from the Silhouette online store. It’s a design by Samantha Walker. I did an internal offset to get the layered effect. It just looked so much better with the contrasting colors. I finished it just in time to get everything packed and ready for our road trip! I’m meeting her Wednesday and she mentioned gluing a few rhinestones on them before the party. I think they’ll be the talk of the party.(besides the birthday girl!) This is a great project for any little princess! I had a lot of fun doing it and look forward to using the image again. Heck…my birthday is in a few weeks…maybe i’ll make some and throw them all around the house. 😉 It seems like I’m being swarmed with birthdays the last few days. I have made so many birthday cards lately and have a list of six more I need to do when we get home from our trip. I guess I can’t complain…I could go buy some cards at Wal-Mart, but I sure do love to make my own!!

I better get some sleep. Thanks for reading guys! Talk to you soon.

Man, It seems like I’ve been gone forever…believe me I have thought about posting a blog at least once a day, but I have been so busy! Besides working, homeschooling, doing things around the house, I have been busy using my Cameo! I absolutely love it. My goal is to do a card a day. I’m trying to get better and figure out exactly what I’m doing. Testing out what glue I like best, card stock, what settings I like to cut with. There is so much thought involved! 🙂 I really enjoy it and I’m pretty sure we have been to Hobby Lobby twice in the last week. Which seems like no biggie unless you live an hour away from the closest one! Don’t tell my husband, but I already want/need to go back. I have figured out that buying the cheapest card stock is not the way to go. I learned my lesson there and need to upgrade. Do you have a certain brand or weight of paper you use? Any tips are welcome. I’m going to show you a few of my latest projects. All my designs have been purchased off the Silhouette Online Store with my free gift cards I received when I bought my machine. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately!

This is my very first card project with the Cameo. I really loved how they both turned out. I love cutting the image out and putting it all together. It’s like a puzzle! I never knew how much I would love card making. I have wanted to do it for so long, but never put in the time to sit down and actually do it. The Cameo makes it so much easier and my kids love watching it cut out the images. Atticus was watching me last night and said “Mom…You really love die cutting!” It was so sweet. I just love that little boy!

Besides the cards I have made a few wood signs. I love vinyl and if my husband would let me, I’d vinyl everything in this house!!

I love making the wood signs and they make such great gifts for people. Jeremy’s Aunt and Uncle are coming to visit us next weekend and they just moved into a new house, so I wanted to make them something as a little house-warming gift. I think they will love the bird design with their last name. I know I would! This was my favorite project of the week.

I hope you guys enjoy my pictures. As I type this blog all I can think about is making more stuff! Please comment below if you guys have card stock tips. I would love the comments and help! I will try my hardest to break away and blog more.  See you all soon!!
