Today is our last full day in Eureka Springs. Although I will be sad to leave, we are ready to get back home. It’s been amazing staying with our friends. Much better than staying in a hotel, but it’s never the same as your own bed.

Today we did a little exploring around town, enjoyed lunch at Magnetic Spring, and took the boys to the park.

It was the perfect weather for the park. We had a great time while we were there. Eureka has a really great park. It’s definitely one of our favorites.

Eureka has also added a music park recently. We stopped by and played some of the musical sculptures. The boys had a lot of fun here!

After we were done playing around, we headed back to the house. The boy ran into an old friend and played around for a while, jumped on the trampoline, and then watched a little bit of Netflix while I did some work.  While the boys and I were hanging around the house, Jeremy and a few friends went cave exploring! Here’s a picture he texted me while they were out and about.

Isn’t this awesome!? They had a lot of fun and came back with cool stories about their adventure. Maybe next time I’ll have to go!!

I’m sad to see our vacation coming to an end…We’re back on the road tomorrow.

Tomorrow night I will be blogging from my own comfy bed!!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Eureka has been good to us this week. I swear it’s been the most relaxing vacation we’ve had. We have done nothing but relax the entire trip. It’s been amazing.

I wish I had more pictures to share with you, but you would be bored out of your mind!

We did go downtown for about 30 minutes. That was the highlight of our day. Just long enough to see a friend and pick up some fudge from Two Dumb Dames Fudge Factory. They have the best fudge. Diet or not…it’s hard to pass up while you’re here.

Like I said last night…we’ve had such a great time hanging out with our friends. It’s rare to go on vacation and not have a million places to visit everyday. The weather was cool, almost cold at times. Perfect day to stay inside and work on the magazine.

On another note, my iPhone has been acting a little strange. I updated to iOS 7 a few nights ago…not sure if it’s that or just my phone. Has anyone else updated and had any trouble with yours? My phone blacked out tonight and wouldn’t come back on for a while. I thought it was a goner, but it finally came back on and acts fine now. It’s strange.

If you’ve had problems let me know! I’m due for an upgrade, but in no rush to run out and grab a new phone.

Well…my hubby and Lucy(the dog) are snoring next to me. I think it’s my turn to get some sleep.

I’ll try to take pictures tomorrow around town to share with you all!

Happy Friday and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hey! Blogging from Eureka Springs tonight. The weather is great here. Highs in the 80s…rain coming in tonight. I believe we have an 80% chance of rain tonight/tomorrow and high temps of 72! Yes….72 degrees.  I can’t believe it either.

We went and visited with Jeremy’s brother Chris and his wife Germaine today. They are making the move to Oklahoma sometime next week. I’m sure Jeremy is excited his brother will be closer. They had lots of stuff packed and ready, but you can tell they still have quite aways to go to being finished. I am so glad it’s not us moving this time! I can’t promise we will stay where we are for to long, but for the moment I’m glad I’m not the one packing.

We’ve had a great time on our trip. We have no plans while we are here, so it gives us a lot of good time with our friends.

We miss our friends. They are all amazing in their own way.

I often wonder why we moved away from this great place.

I don’t imagine we will stay gone much longer. I’m sure there’s a reason we moved back to Oklahoma, but I look forward to making our way back to the Ozarks. Jeremy and I may have been raised in Oklahoma, but this is our home. The kids love it here and that makes us happy.

Here’s a few pictures from our day today.

I apologize for not getting to blog last night. I didn’t have any wifi and my phone was updating to iOS 7, so I couldn’t get my blog up.

I’m sure you were all wondering where I was, right?!!

Have a great day tomorrow! It’s FRIDAY!

Tomorrow we are leaving for a 5 day vacation. We are heading to the beautiful Eureka Springs to stay with some of our best friends.

Have you ever been? It’s an amazing place.

This is downtown Eureka. It’s breath taking. (I stole this picture from google images)

I haven’t packed anything yet. I am procrastinating. It’ll get done tomorrow.

My main focus is getting my 8 hours of sleep. I am exhausted.

I will make sure to take lots of pictures to share while we are gone.

If you don’t know what Eureka Springs is….you should google it. It’s full of history.

Have a great hump day.

Wow! Where has the time gone? A few things have changed since I last posted.

1. We decided to move.

2. We were in a wreck.

3. We moved…to Oklahoma.

1. Why did we move? I suppose we like change every once in a while. Change of scenery. We have family here. Saves us money. More land to garden. We love Eureka Springs, but we can always vacation when we need a get away. We thought it was best for the family at this point in our life.

2. The wreck was scary. Yes…we are all doing great! The kids were fine! Car seats are so worth the money and my kids will probably be in one until they’re 16! 😉 Our jeep was totaled. (Looking into getting a minivan!) Jeremy has been sore and is recovering well. He’s getting back into his daily routine and feeling better everyday. My left hand is broken. This was the worst of our injuries…Thank God!! I will say it has been a super pain in my butt, but I am grateful that nothing worse happened.

3. We moved. It’s only been a few days and we are 100% unpacked and enjoying our new space. Our allergies are out of control, but everything else is great. I’m a little (okay…A LOT) behind on my work/projects and trying to get back in routine and back on track. Please bear with me. I have been exhausted and have missed a lot of  blogging. I apologize for my MIA status.

We’ve made a lot of changes in our life within the last month. A lot of good changes. I’m excited where life is heading and thankful everyday for my family and friends. I’m usually one who hates change. I like a smooth flow of things. Nothing to get in my way. Im starting to realize…with the help of my husband…change is good! It’s a way to learn. Have new experiences. A way to grow as an individual. It’s crazy how you can change even the smallest thing and get such a big outcome. I encourage you to try it. Change something!! Kiss your spouse every morning…put special notes in the kids lunch…take a bubble bath and relax at the end of your day…rearrange your living room. Just do something!!!! I promise you will learn something, feel better, and grow from a little something different.

It’s nice to be back! I’ve missed all my blogger friends! 🙂 Have a great week everyone.

Well…we’re back from our vacation. We had a great time, but it’s always good to be back home! Wanted to share some of my favorite pictures with everyone. Enjoy!

^We visited my cousin in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. It was beautiful there. We enjoyed a few hours at the beach. The boys loved the water and finding hermit crabs in shells. Besides Mississippi having a ton of gnats, I loved it there.

^Bonus loved playing on the sandy beach.

^Couldn’t leave Mississippi without trying some crawfish! I was very put off by the look of these things, but once I got the courage to try them they were actually pretty tasty. Glad I took the plunge.

We spent a few nights in Mississippi and left for our next destination. It took us about 9 hours of driving to arrive in sunny Florida. The boys did so well in the car while traveling. I was so proud of them and Lucy (our dog) for being such great travelers. It always makes the trip more enjoyable!

^Bonus taking pictures on his ‘phone’.                    ^Atticus enjoying some chips!

^Palm trees!! Clearwater Beach, Fl. It was beautiful here. My only complaint: there is so many people!!! This is different living then little Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We get busy in our tourist season, but nothing compared to the amount of people here. Finding parking was nuts. The white sand was so pretty and the weather was great…windy, but great.

^Look at these little stud muffins. 🙂

^Atticus and Mommy. I love the boys in their little sunglasses.

^Bonus and Daddy! I mean seriously…those glasses are so freaking cute!

We had a really great time. Visited with our friends that lived in Clearwater. The boys ran around with their kids. We drove over to Tampa one day. It was an amazing time. On our way home we went through Memphis…had to stop for some Memphis BBQ. Talk about delicious. Words cannot even describe how good it was! After a week on the road, we arrived in Eureka a little before midnight. We were all tired and glad to be home in our own bed. Lucy slept for about 2 days straight. I think she was happier than anyone to be home. She is so funny sometimes!

Let me start off by saying…what a freaking week. As of Sunday I’ve put us on lockdown. No one leaves the house (besides taking the dog out) until at least Friday.

Let me catch you up a little.

Last Tuesday we left Eureka Springs and drove to Oklahoma. Nothing crazy…arrived around 5:30 and had dinner with the family. Wednesday I got my hair trimmed and saw the mother-in-law. Thursday was Atticus’ birthday!!! Didn’t do anything super crazy…had lunch with Jeremys cousins, opened some presents, visited with some friends, had birthday cake after dinner with family. Friday…We had Atticus a birthday party. It was great. A few of his friends came…they screamed and ran around like crazy…everyone had cake and ice cream…opened presents…more screaming and running…took Marley back home…and went to the big town of Minco Oklahoma to stay with my grandma. Talk about EXHAUSTING. We grabbed dinner on the way to Minco…ate…went to bed. Saturday around 4 am, I couldn’t sleep. I moved to the couch. 5 am….I’m SICK! I don’t remember being so sick. 7 am…here comes Atticus, who is also not feeling well. Needless to say, Saturday was horrible. I felt like death. (Ok…maybe I’m being a little dramatic) Sunday we drove home. Monday was our day of rest. We spent every single minute in bed. It is now Tuesday and I feel better. A lot better. Atticus is feeling a little better. Hasn’t ran a temp over 100 today. He is still sluggish. I wish so badly he will wake up tomorrow morning and feel 100% better. Thankfully Jeremy and Bonus have felt great. I pray that no one else gets sick. Today I lysoled anything that I thought Atticus may have touched. Lysol is a mothers best friend.

Here’s a picture of Atticus with his Mario cake! He had a great birthday with his friends.

Today is the first day in a week…yes a week…i’ve been able to make anything. I haven’t used my die cut machine in a week. (I cannot believe it.) I decided to make a card for the wonderful lady who made Atticus his birthday cake. This card gave me nothing but trouble and I feel like it came out looking like a big Easter egg, but it serves its purpose. Sorry, for my negative ranting…I will offset it with something positive…I have been using Silhouettes brand of glitter and love it. I received the glitter and double-sided adhesive paper with my Cameo bundle. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. A little bit of glitter goes a long way. My new motto: When in doubt…use glitter.

photo 1

Are you seeing the easter egg reference here? I love these colors together, but there is something about it that is just not working for me. Heck…maybe it’s the shape of the ovals I cut out in the purple layer…or maybe I’ve just been looking at it for too long. Anyhoodles…I love the glitter.

photo 2

Here is the final outcome. I like it. It’s not my favorite….but, it is better than any card I could have bought from Wal-Mart. So that makes it okay in my book! 🙂

For the inside, I cut some pink card stock and sprayed it with my Krylon glitter spray. (That is another favorite item I’ve grown to love.) I will have to pick up an extra can of that when I go back to Hobby Lobby. I used my Silhouette sketch pens to write in my “thank you” and I was finished.

photo 3

Even though this card was simple, it took me way to long to make. It was nice to sit down at the table and create something again. It has been the only time since Saturday where I’ve felt a little bit of peace…and I am grateful for that.

I have 2 more days of “lockdown” and I need to be productive. What shall I create tomorrow? Something fun and exciting?! I hope so!! I need to clean. My mom-in-law is coming this weekend to visit. We need to be healthy…clean…and happy by Friday. Wish us luck!! 😉

Before I go, I want to give my husband Jeremy a shout out!! Thank you so much for taking care of Atticus and me while we’ve been sick. You are the best husband I could have ever imagined having. I love you.

Thanks for reading everyone! See ya next time.
