HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! What a great night for trick or treating. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect…it was 70 degrees outside today! I can’t remember the last time we had a nice Halloween and it wasn’t freezing cold. The boys had so much fun tonight. This was the first Halloween that they really enjoyed running up to the houses, knocking on the doors, and getting candy from everyone. They said ‘trick or treat!’ at every house and even ended with a thank you!!! I was so proud of them. By the end of the night they were saying, “Thanks! Have a good night!” It was hilarious.
I love these little goof balls!
Speaking of goof balls…that would be my granny with a witch hat/wig on and my mother peeking over her shoulder!
Notice Bonus checking out his bag of goodies! They could barely keep their hands out of the sacks. 🙂
We had a great night. Both boys complained of a belly ache. That’s a great sign that we got plenty of candy and should be on a sugar high for the next 12 months. Hahaha
I’m off to do a little work before get my beauty rest. Don’t forget to stop by http://www.diecutcrazymag.com for our blog hop tomorrow!! There’s going to be lots of goodies to be given away! Tell all your friends and check out details on the website.
Today we went to the great state fair of Oklahoma!!
It was interesting to say the least. There are so many types of people at the state fair. It’s a great place to sit back and people watch. I look forward to going at least once every year.
My husband on the other hand could care less if we ever went back again.
While we were there it made me think about the interesting life the people live while traveling state to state to set up rides and such. I think it would be a neat experience.
Will I be running off to join the circus? No…but maybe if I didn’t have kids!
How fun would it be to travel around with Jeremy…meeting new people…exploring new places. I bet they have the time of their life!!
I’m sure in ways, it’s a rough life. But it’s what you make it.
I like to imagine what it’d be like to live a unordinary life. I feel like we are pretty outside the box in a lot ways, but we are a pretty standard family living the life you’re ‘supposed’ to live at the same time. If I could only step outside that box I’m so afraid of, life would be so different.
Different as in good or bad?
I guess I’ll never know until I decide to make those changes.
I feel like I’m getting closer. Closer to breaking through that mold I was raised to believe is the right way.
Can you believe I got all this insight from the state fair? Who knew the fair was so enlightening.
Sometimes the strangest things just make you think…
We had a lot of fun today. We were only there for a few hours before the rain came in and ran us out!
Here’s a few pictures of Atticus.
I loved watching his face as he really let loose and enjoyed himself today.
He is a good boy.
See how cloudy it was! Maybe we should have picked a better day to go!
As I mentioned last night…we went to Frontier City today!
We had so much fun!
Frontier City was sold out today, so you can imagine how crowded it was. We didn’t get to ride as many rides as we’d hoped, but we still had a great time. Atticus isn’t much of a thrill seeker, so him and I sat and watched the others ride a few rides. As the boys were in the bath tonight I asked them what their favorite thing about today was. Bonus said “Water park!” Atticus said “Farris wheel!”
The water park is always a big hit with the kids. Today was a perfect day for it…It was so hot. Jeremy and I rode a few water slides, but there were so many kids running around that we decided it was best to hang out on the side lines today.
We spent a good 6 hours riding rides. Thank god it was not our running day! I seriously don’t know how I’m even awake right now. The heat is exhausting! I felt like no matter how much water I drank, it was never enough.
Looking forward to a good nights sleep, school with the boys, and running with Jeremy tomorrow.
Off to another great week! Enjoy your Monday everyone.
We are looking forward to a very long day tomorrow. The kids have been on a count down for the last 7 days and their wait is finally over! Tomorrow we are taking the 3 kids and my mother in-law to Frontier City! YAY!
Bonus isn’t big enough to ride all the rides, but he would if he could. He is my little dare-devil.
It will be so nice to have Pam (mom-in-law) there to help with the kids. I’m sure the lines will be long and that will probably mean cranky children!
The high temp. for tomorrow is 97…I’m just happy it’s not 100+ although I’m sure it will feel like it.
Everyone is asleep and ready for the big day. I better hit the hay myself or I’ll be dragging my feet in the morning.
Enjoy your Sunday!
Hello readers. I hope you all enjoyed your Saturday as much as we did. It was HOT in Oklahoma today. I’m not sure what the actual temperature was, but at one point it said 111 in the minivan.
What do you do on a hot day? Swim!! Yes, we went swimming and it was fabulous. I wanted to stay in that pool forever! We had a great time swimming. Summer is almost over and I’m so glad we got a good swim in…just incase we don’t get another 100 degree day!
Here’s a picture from today!
I can’t say it enough…We had so much fun swimming today!
After swimming we did all the other regular day stuff. Eat…went for our walk…baths…blah blah blah. But, before bed we played a few hands of cards and Jerms made some Hawaiian salsa! YUM! We played UNO and slap jacks. We were all cracking up while playing slap jacks. The boys are getting so big. It makes me so sad, but I know it’s a part of life. 😉
This is a typical silly picture of Bonus. Always the life of the party!
Marley wants to watch a scary movie tonight. We’ve got the boys in bed and we’re off to watch Signs. Ever seen it? Great movie!!!
See you tomorrow!
